Conifer Canine is located in rural southwestern Indiana, near the town of Spencer, 30 minutes from Bloomington, 30 minutes from Martinsville, one hour from downtown Indianapolis, one hour from Terre Haute, and two hours from Evansville. Our wooded acreage and rolling meadow is conducive to raising sounds pups and training dependable dogs. If you are outside the area...don't sweat it! We can easily ship your new dog or puppy to you. We have trained many breeds of dogs for over 18 years and have bred/trained German Shepherds since 1992. For a dog to be a well-rounded member of your family, dog training and proper socialization is a must. An obedience trained dog is a joy to be around! EXPERIENCE HAS TAUGHT US TO WORK WITH THE DOG, NOT AGAINST HIM. Certification in both on-leash and off-leash training as well as Personal Protection Dog training was received from Highland Canine Training in Harmony, NC. Certification was also earned as a Police K9 Instructior.

Our interest in working dogs evolved from a desire for security and also wanting a partnership with a dog that has a demanding job to do. The basset hound laying lazily on the front porch has its attraction, no doubt. However, our passion is working side by side with a dog that is properly and knowledgably trained and seeing him fulfill his assignment to his maximum potential! It is not the "fireworks" of a dog biting the decoy. It is working with a dog that has a stable temperament, steady nerves and an overwhelming desire to work for his/her human. Our dogs are more than pets, more than "stock;" they are family.
