Guard dog training, otherwise known as protection dog training, is a finely-tuned partnership between man and dog. There are many things to think about when considering a protection dog. The dog you choose and the trainer you choose will both determine the quality and dependabilty of your personal security.
Years of experience and tweeking of methods go into our protection dog training. Our methods weed out inferior and unreliable dogs and bring out the best in protection training. This produces a trustworthy dog you can depend upon in the event of an attempted assault or home intrusion.
Conifer Canine personal protection dogs are chosen to be temperamentally sound and socially comfortable in the home. Most are are well socialized with children. They have completed an off leash training course so the owner can live with and travel with them in confidence. Additionally, our protection dogs have their hips and elbows xrayed and displaysia-free. They are checked by a licensed veterinarian prior to delivery. All vet-recommended vaccines are current. Our dogs are given a two year health guarantee covering congenital defects which would hinder the dog from performing its duties.

Level 1 protection dogs have on-leash and off-leash obedience training. They are family-friendly dogs that fit easily into the home, including children. They are trained to alert their owners to strange noises and/or a break-in and bark on command. They are a visual and vocal deterrent to potential attackers.

Our Level 2 dogs includes Level 1. Additionally, while social with their family, they are trained to pursue and subdue attackers/intruders. Their training includes releasing on command, call-offs, & other real-life scenario-based training; can include carjacking, kidnapping. They can be trained to defend by either verbal command from their owners and/or when they feel you are threatened.

These dogs include Levels 1 and 2. They are geared toward public figures such as prof. athletes, politicians, actors, business executives and other "high profile" clients. They are trained to protect at home, business, or travel. They can be trained to search the yard or home and/or other custom needs of the client.

Protection dogs purchased from us are personally delivered to your home. We will SHOW YOU HOW TO HANDLE YOUR DOG so that you will become familiar with the commands necessary to work with and control your protection dog. We want you to be comfortable and satisfied with him/her. Unlike some other trainers, we do much more than give you a slip of paper with a list of commands and wish you luck!
Follow-up training at our facility is included FOR AS LONG AS YOU OWN THE DOG. Or we will be happy to meet with you in your home for a fair fee. Either of these keep the dog sharp and prepared in the event of an attack.

We also offer training for A DOG THAT YOU OWN and are considering formal protection training. In this event, we offer a free evaluation given by us at our facility. Training can be CUSTOMIZED to meet your needs.
